Steak on the dog menu at, The Wilson

Vice Features The Wilson in This NYC Restaurant Is Really Out Here Selling $42 Steaks for Dogs

I’m not sure he would’ve fully appreciated a $42 steak, is what I’m saying.

Earlier this month, The Wilson Restaurant & Bar in Manhattan introduced its own dog-friendly menu, which includes a 16-ounce grilled ribeye steak, which is served with grilled baby vegetables and steak jus. And yes, it is $42—the exact same price as the ribeye steak that non-canines can order from the All Day Menu.

If you’d like to subtly body-shame your pet, the menu also has a “When I’m Dieting” section that includes Pan Roasted True North Salmon ($28) and a grilled chicken breast ($16); both entrees come with a side of steamed vegetables. For dessert, the restaurant offers a choice of sliced apples and heirloom carrots ($11) or a bowl of mixed berries ($14).

Uproxx Features Refinery Rooftop in Bartenders Tell Us The Best Liqueurs To Mix And Sip On

Alli Torres, Bartender at Refinery Rooftop in New York City

“Cherry Heering has always been a go-to for me. I love the deep flavor without compromising the integrity of a cocktail or making it overly sweet. Splitting a Manhattan or a Blood & Sand with it has been a crowd pleaser move I’ve used in a handful of menus. Stirring in a spoonful can go a long with adding flavor and a dash of viscosity.”

Uproxx Features Refinery Rooftop in The Ultimate Beers For Spring, According To Bartenders

Alli Torres, Bartender at Refinery Rooftop in New York City

“Once a lot of saison-style beers start popping up on menus, you know spring is just around the corner. Saisons are traditionally described as a ‘rustic’ or ‘farmhouse’ style beer. Once daylight savings switches over, these beers offer a nod to farmers who drink them as the sun sets. This has been adapted by saison drinkers as a similar mark to the end of their workday. Unwinding with a slightly spicy, very dry beer. Allagash Saison is one of my absolute favorites because I love the medley of pepper and citrus together.”

Alli Torres, Bartender at Refinery Rooftop in New York City

“I have to go with something near and dear to my New York heart, Genesee Bock. It rings in the low 5.2% ABV, but still maintains a hearty body. A slightly malty finish out of an iced cold can? Spring has sprung with this Genny gem.”
